Net metering paperwork: what we need from you
Short answer
Most net metering applications that stall are missing a document or a detail, not waiting on the system. Have three things ready: the CNIC of the person named on the electricity bill, proof that you own the property, and your latest DISCO bill. We prepare and file the application with FESCO or LESCO and follow it through to the green meter.
The documents
- CNIC of the person named on the electricity bill.
- Proof of ownership of the property where the system is installed.
- Your latest DISCO bill (FESCO, LESCO or your distribution company), so the reference number and connection details match the application.
If the bill is in a previous owner's or a relative's name, tell us at the start. Sorting that out first saves weeks later.
What we handle
Solar Works Pakistan prepares and files net metering and net billing applications with FESCO and LESCO and follows them through to green-meter installation. You don't need to visit the DISCO office yourself unless they ask for the owner in person. See our net metering application service and the green meter guide.
Before you apply
The rules changed in 2026: new applications are on net billing, where exported units earn less than imported units cost. Read our net metering and net billing guide before deciding how big your system should be. In many homes a battery is now worth more than a bigger export.
