Jinko solar panel serial number check and verification
Last updated:
For a Jinko solar panel serial number check, enter the serial on Jinko's official authenticity page or in the Jinko Flash Track app, and make sure the result matches the label. A genuine panel shows its factory record; a fake shows no record, or a different model or wattage.
Jinko reports 13 GW of panels shipped to Pakistan and close to 40% of the market. That makes it the most copied solar plate brand here, so check every panel before you pay.
Jinko solar panel verification: step by step
The check takes about a minute per panel. Do it before payment, with the panels in front of you.
- Find the serial number. It is printed with a barcode on the label on the back of the panel. On most models a matching barcode is sealed inside the panel and visible through the front glass.
- Check the two serials match. The back-label serial and the one under the glass should be the same. A mismatch means the label was changed.
- Open Jinko's official check. On a phone or computer browser, go to cs.jinkosolar.com (the authenticity section of Jinko's customer service site), or open the Jinko Flash Track app. Type the address yourself; never use a link sent by the seller.
- Enter or scan the serial. Type the serial number on the web page, or scan the barcode in Flash Track.
- Compare the result. The model and wattage must match the label exactly. A different result, or no record at all, means do not buy.
- Look for repeats. If two panels show the same serial number, at least one of them is fake.
- Keep the record. Save a screenshot for each panel with your invoice for any warranty claim.
Jinko Flash Track app
Jinko Flash Track is Jinko's own app for looking up a panel's serial number in the factory records. Download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and check that the publisher is JinkoSolar before you install it.
Scan the barcode on the back label, then scan the one under the glass. Both should return the same record. If a seller hands you a different app or a link to "verify", use Flash Track or the official web page instead.
Jinko Tiger Neo and N-type model checks
Jinko model codes start with "JKM" (for example JKM580N-72HL4-BDV), and the code on the label must appear on the official Jinko datasheet with the same wattage. The Tiger Neo N-type range, including the new Tiger Neo 3.0, is Jinko's best-selling panel in Pakistan and the one most often relabelled.
| Check | What a genuine Jinko panel shows |
|---|---|
| Model code | Starts with JKM; listed on the official datasheet |
| Size and weight | Matches the datasheet (a 580-585 W panel is about 2278 × 1134 mm) |
| "BDV" in the code | Bifacial double-glass: the back is glass, not a white sheet |
| Official check result | Same model and wattage as the label |
| Invoice | Brand, model, wattage, quantity and serial numbers |
Warning signs of a fake Jinko panel
If any of these apply, stop and recheck before you pay.
| Warning sign | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| No record on the official check, or a different model | Relabelled or fake panel |
| Back-label serial differs from the one under the glass | Label replaced |
| Two panels with the same serial | Copied label |
| "Bifacial" panel with a white plastic back | Not the model on the label |
| Price far below today's Jinko rate | Reject, used or fake stock |
| Seller sends their own "verification link" | Fake verification page |
Frequently asked questions
How do I do a Jinko solar panel serial number check?
Enter the serial number from the back label on Jinko's official authenticity page at cs.jinkosolar.com, or scan it with the Jinko Flash Track app. Then confirm the model and wattage match the label.
What is Jinko Flash Track?
It is Jinko's verification app that looks up a panel's serial number in the factory records. Check that the publisher is JinkoSolar before you install it.
Where is the serial number on a Jinko panel?
On the barcode label on the back of the panel. Most models also have a matching barcode sealed under the front glass.
Is a QR code on the panel enough to prove it is genuine?
No. A QR sticker can be printed for any panel and can point to any website. Only a check you open yourself on Jinko's own website or the official Flash Track app counts.
Which Jinko panels are most often faked in Pakistan?
The best-selling Tiger Neo N-type panels, especially the 580-585 watt models, because they sell in the largest numbers.
Can I verify Jinko panels after installation?
Yes, through the barcode under the front glass, but it is much easier before installation. Ask for the serial list first.
