Which Fronus inverter should I choose: Genki hybrid, X3 on-grid or Infineon/Platinum?

Short answer

Fronus X1-Genki (single-phase) and X3-Genki (three-phase) are IP65 hybrids with battery backup. X3-MIC, X3-PRO, X3-MEGA and X3-FORTH are three-phase on-grid inverters for net billing. Infineon Reborn and Platinum are IP21 indoor hybrid/off-grid style units.

Pick by phase, backup needs and whether the inverter will be indoors or outdoors.
