Which Growatt inverter series is right for me: MIN, SPH or SPF?
Short answer
It depends on whether you want net billing, backup, or both. Growatt MIN (single-phase) and MOD/MID (three-phase) are on-grid inverters for lowering your bill through net billing; they stop during load-shedding. SPH is a hybrid that does both, with a battery and a backup (EPS) circuit. SPF is an off-grid inverter that runs your loads from solar and battery and uses the grid or a generator to charge and pass through.
The SPF models in our manuals are off-grid units, so they do not export to the grid for net billing.
