SOFAR on-grid (KTLM / KTLX) or hybrid (HYD / ESI): which should I choose?

Short answer

Choose a SOFAR on-grid inverter (KTLM single-phase or KTLX three-phase) if you mainly want a lower bill through net billing and can live without solar during load-shedding. Choose a SOFAR hybrid (HYD or ESI series) if you also want backup, because only a hybrid with a battery keeps selected circuits running when the grid is off.

An on-grid inverter must switch off when the grid goes off; SOFAR shows this as IslandFault. A hybrid powers a separate backup (EPS) circuit from the battery and panels, so we plan which appliances go on it.

Send us your bills and your usual load-shedding hours and we will recommend the type and size in a written quote.

Choosing for your area

Load-shedding differs across Faisalabad, Lahore and the rest of Punjab, so we ask about your hours before recommending on-grid or hybrid.
