Does solar work in smog and winter fog?
Short answer
Yes, but output drops. Heavy smog and fog block part of the sunlight, and on the worst days in November–January output can fall sharply. Panels still produce power in diffuse light. Bifacial and N-type panels handle low light somewhat better. Plan for these weeks when you size the system and battery.
