What should a completed solar repair report tell me?

Why it happens

DOE’s operations guidance supports maintaining system information and service records. A documented repair helps future maintenance distinguish the original arrangement from later changes.

The report should identify the complaint, findings, work completed, parts used and relevant verification. It should also state any unresolved cause, temporary measure or condition not tested during the visit.

For a replacement, include updated identification and monitoring arrangements. Where settings or firmware changed, record their purpose and the relevant version or configuration information. Sensitive account credentials should be kept outside the ordinary report.
