Which batteries work with a SOFAR hybrid inverter?

Short answer

Use a battery that SOFAR lists as compatible with your exact inverter model. SOFAR's manuals say to make sure the battery is compatible and recommend CAN communication between the battery and the inverter.

Some SOFAR hybrids, such as the HYD-EP, accept both lithium and lead-acid batteries, but lithium needs a working BMS link to charge correctly. A battery with the right voltage is not automatically compatible.

Tell us your inverter model and we will check battery options against the current SOFAR list before quoting.
