Does extreme summer heat reduce output?
Short answer
Yes. Panels lose a small percentage of output for every degree they run above 25°C, and on a 45°C day the panels themselves are far hotter than the air. N-type panels lose less to heat. An elevated structure lets air flow under the panels and keeps them cooler. Summer is still the highest-output season because the days are long.
