SOFAR inverter shows RelayFail (ID041) or grid relay failure (ID140, ID144)

Short answer

ID041 means the SOFAR inverter's relay check failed before connecting to the grid. ID140 and ID144 are the permanent versions. Try one restart; if it returns, the relay or the grid connection needs an engineer.

What you will see

Inverter clicks but will not connect
ID041 in the morning
ID140 or ID144 and it stays off

Why it happens

Before connecting, the inverter tests its output relays. A grid wiring problem, such as neutral and live mixed up, or a worn relay can fail the test.
