Why it happens
Canadian Solar includes cleaning requirements within its module installation guidance. The approved method and limitations must be checked against the actual module documentation rather than copied from an unrelated installation.
Ask about the proposed tools, water quality, cleaning products and access arrangements. The contractor should identify any visible damage that needs assessment before cleaning proceeds.
For industrial roofs, also discuss the nature of the contamination and nearby operations. Cleaning should be coordinated with site safety requirements, particularly where access, machinery or electrical equipment create additional risks.
