Lithium Battery 200Ah Price in Pakistan: 100Ah, 200Ah and 16 kWh Explained

Short answer

A 48 V class lithium battery rated 100Ah stores about 5 kWh, a 200Ah battery stores about 10 kWh, and a "16 kW" battery really means about 16 kWh, which is roughly 300Ah at 51.2 V. To compare them fairly, convert every label to kWh, then check how much of it is usable. The lithium battery 200Ah price in Pakistan changes with the dollar rate, so see the table below and WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate.

This guide is about reading battery labels. To work out how many kWh your home needs, use our battery sizing guide.

Why amp-hours alone mislead

Amp-hours (Ah) tell you how much current a battery can supply for how long, but not how much energy it holds. Energy depends on voltage too. A 200Ah battery at 24 V holds half the energy of a 200Ah battery at 48 V. That is why shop listings that only say "200Ah" can lead to bad comparisons.

The fix is one simple formula:

kWh = nominal voltage × Ah ÷ 1,000

Most home lithium batteries in Pakistan are LiFePO4 at "48 V", which is usually 51.2 V nominal (16 cells of 3.2 V). For a deeper explanation of kW, kWh and discharge rate, see kW vs kWh and C-rate.

Rated vs usable capacity

A battery datasheet often lists two numbers: rated (or nominal) energy and usable energy. Usable is what you can actually draw, after the battery management system and the inverter keep a reserve to protect the cells.

Two settings decide your real usable energy:

  1. Depth of discharge (DoD) allowed by the manufacturer. LiFePO4 allows a high DoD, but rarely the full 100 percent.
  2. Your inverter's cut-off setting. Many owners set the inverter to stop discharging at, say, 20 percent so there is a reserve for load-shedding. That reserve is not available for normal night use.

For example, if a 10.2 kWh battery allows about 90 percent use, roughly 9.2 kWh is usable; if you also hold back 20 percent for outages, you have about 8 kWh for routine night use. These are round illustrative numbers. Always read the usable kWh on the datasheet of the exact model. The BMS explainer covers how the battery protects itself.

100Ah (about 5 kWh): who it suits

A 48 V 100Ah battery is the most common starting size. It suits:

It is usually not enough to run an AC through the night. Many low-voltage batteries can be paralleled, so a second 100Ah unit can be added later if the inverter and battery support it. See replacing or expanding your solar battery.

200Ah (about 10 kWh): who it suits

A 48 V 200Ah battery, or two 100Ah units in parallel, gives about 10 kWh. It suits:

Whether you buy one 200Ah unit or two 100Ah units is mostly a question of space, budget timing and what the inverter supports. Two units can be added in stages; one larger unit has fewer cables and connections.

16 kWh: the "16 kW lithium battery"

People search for a "16 kW lithium battery", but batteries are sized in kWh. A 16 kWh battery can be:

This size suits larger homes with an inverter AC for much of the night, or small offices. Make sure the solar array is big enough to recharge it on a winter or smoggy day. The voltage type has to match the inverter: see high-voltage vs low-voltage batteries.

Don't forget the power limit

Capacity (kWh) is how long the battery can run. Power (kW) is how much it can deliver at once. A battery with plenty of kWh can still trip if the inverter or battery's continuous discharge limit is lower than your load, for example when an AC and a water motor start together. Check both on the datasheet.

Four checks before you buy

  1. Convert to kWh using the nominal voltage, and compare usable kWh, not Ah.
  2. Match the inverter. 48 V batteries for 48 V hybrids; high-voltage stacks only for high-voltage hybrids. Check the inverter's battery list on our solar inverter price page.
  3. Check communication. The battery and inverter should talk to each other over the supported link so charging is controlled correctly.
  4. Plan expansion. Ask how many units or modules can be added, and whether old and new units can be mixed.

How we size your battery

Our engineers start from the loads you want during load-shedding and at night, then choose capacity, voltage and brand to match your inverter. Every quote names the exact model, its usable kWh and the manufacturer's warranty per product. Installation and after-sales are handled by our own teams, with a 1-year service warranty under the applicable project terms and a 48-hour target to send service personnel after a complaint.

Frequently asked questions

What is the lithium battery 200Ah price in Pakistan?

It depends on brand, voltage and the dollar rate, so check the price table above. A 48 V 200Ah battery stores about 10 kWh. WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate.

How many kWh is a 48 V 100Ah lithium battery?

About 5.1 kWh at 51.2 V nominal (51.2 × 100 ÷ 1,000). The usable amount is a little less, depending on the manufacturer's depth of discharge and your inverter settings.

Is a 16 kW lithium battery the same as 16 kWh?

In everyday use, yes: sellers mean about 16 kWh of storage. Strictly, kWh is energy and kW is power. Check the datasheet for both the kWh capacity and the kW discharge limit.

Is one 200Ah battery better than two 100Ah batteries?

They store about the same energy. One unit means fewer connections; two units let you buy in stages and keep partial backup if one needs service. Your inverter's parallel support decides what is possible.

How long will a 200Ah lithium battery run my house?

Divide usable kWh by your load. For example, about 8 kWh usable at a steady 800 W runs roughly 10 hours, before losses. Your actual load changes through the night, so we size from your appliance list.

Can I add a 200Ah battery to my existing 100Ah battery?

Sometimes, if both are the same type and the manufacturer allows mixing. Many brands advise matching models and ages. We check compatibility before adding capacity.
