Pylontech US2000C vs US3000C vs US5000: which 48 V battery?
Short answer
All four are 48 V LiFePO₄ rack modules from Pylontech, and they differ mainly in capacity. The US2000C holds about 2.3 kWh usable, the US3000C about 3.4 kWh, and the US5000 and UP5000 about 4.6 kWh. Modules can be added in parallel, up to 16 in one string. The US2000C belongs to Pylontech's older range, so check availability. We supply Pylontech on order.

Figures are from Pylontech's datasheet. Pylontech gives the recommended current for cell temperatures of about 10 to 40 °C and derates it outside that range.
How many modules do you need?
That depends on what must run at night and for how long. Work it out with our battery size guide, then pick the module that reaches that kWh with the fewest units your inverter's battery current allows.
Force L1 and L2: the same idea in a cabinet
The Force L1 and L2 are 48 V stacks in an IP55 cabinet, for owners who do not want an open rack. The L1 takes 2 to 7 modules (7.1 to 24.9 kWh nominal); the slimmer L2 takes 2 to 4 (7.1 to 14.2 kWh nominal). Both belong to the older range, so check availability. For current high-voltage stacks, see the Force-H2 and Force-H3 on our datasheets page.
Powercube: high voltage
The Powercube X1 and X2 are high-voltage systems (336 V nominal), 16.8 kWh and 24.9 kWh. They work only with high-voltage hybrid inverters, not 48 V ones, and belong to the older range. See high voltage vs low voltage battery.
Saving on bills: load shifting and peak hours
A battery stores midday solar for the evening, when homes use the most power and solar has stopped. With peak-hour tariffs, running from the battery instead of the grid in those hours is where the saving comes from. See peak hours and solar batteries.
Will it work with my inverter?
A matching voltage or the same CAN port is not proof. Pylontech publishes compatibility lists by inverter model. Check your exact model before buying, the same way as our Dyness compatibility check, and read why CAN or RS485 does not mean compatible.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the US3000C and the US5000?
Capacity and current. The US3000C holds about 3.37 kWh usable with a 37 A recommended current; the US5000 holds about 4.56 kWh with 80 A. Both are 48 V rack modules.
Can I mix US3000C and US5000 modules?
Ask Pylontech or us for your exact models and firmware before mixing. Do not add modules to an existing bank without checking.
Is the US2000C still available?
It belongs to Pylontech's older range. Check availability with us before planning on it.
