Growatt inverter shows PV Voltage High (Error 202)

Error 202 means the DC voltage from the solar panels is above the Growatt inverter's maximum. Growatt treats it as urgent: the DC side must be made safe and the string voltage checked. It is usually a string with too many panels, worst on cold, bright winter mornings. Call an engineer.

Why it happens

Panel voltage rises as temperature falls. A string designed close to the limit can go over it in winter.

Too high a voltage can damage the inverter.
