What you will see
- Fault 03 after new batteries were fitted
- Fault 08 with a lithium battery that has no data cable
Why it happens
If the battery bank does not match the inverter's battery voltage, or charge settings do not match the battery, voltage climbs too high.
Battery and settings must match
Matched
Battery bank and charge settings suit the inverter and battery.
Mismatched
Wrong battery count, or lithium without data cable and high charge settings: Fault 03 or 08.
What you can check yourself
- Note whether batteries or settings were changed recently
What not to do
- Do not change charge voltage settings yourself
- Do not mix old and new batteries
When to call us
- Check battery quantity and type against the inverter
- Set charge settings to the battery maker's values
- Connect BMS communication for lithium
Battery upgrades
Many SPF owners in Punjab switch from lead-acid to lithium. We set up the inverter correctly for the new battery.
