What you will see

  • Charging has always seemed slow, or has recently become slower.
  • The percentage rises slowly even while the app shows charging.
  • Charging power falls near the end of a charge.
  • Charging takes longer after adding battery capacity or increasing daytime appliance use.

Why it happens

A managed lithium battery can communicate a permitted charging current to the inverter. That limit may be below the maximum suggested by an equipment headline rating. Charging behaviour can also change during cell balancing; the exact behaviour depends on the battery and integration.

Temperature is another consideration. Cold conditions can restrict lithium-battery charging, while reduced seasonal solar production can leave less energy available for charging during the day.

There may also be less spare solar power because more appliances are running. If storage capacity has increased while charging power remains similar, charging through the same percentage range takes more energy. The installer should compare the complete system with the original charging expectation.

What you can check yourself

  • Compare days with similar starting charge, weather and appliance use.
  • Record displayed charging power as well as the battery percentage.
  • Note whether charging is slow throughout the cycle or mainly near full.
  • Photograph temperature or battery warnings shown in the normal app view.
  • Tell us about added batteries, extra appliances or changed charging hours.
  • Keep the equipment’s designated ventilation space free of stored items.

What not to do

  • Do not increase current limits, change battery profiles, use external heaters or cover equipment to make it warmer.
  • Charging limits must suit the battery, inverter and installation.

When to call us

  • Arrange a check if charging has slowed substantially under comparable conditions, repeatedly stops with alarms, or has never matched the installation’s intended performance. A useful assessment compares actual charging power with the limits reported by the equipment.

Charging speed in Faisalabad and Lahore

Winter haze in Faisalabad and smog in Lahore both cut the spare solar available for charging. Send us comparable days and our team will compare actual charging with the limits your equipment reports.
