What you will see

  • Power drops or stops in the hottest afternoon hours
  • Code 37 in the app in May to August
  • The inverter feels very hot from the front

Why it happens

Inverters lose some energy as heat. If the air around them is already hot and cannot move, they must cut back.

Sungrow lists direct sunlight, poor ventilation and a failed fan as the common causes.

What you can check yourself

  • Check if afternoon sun falls directly on the inverter
  • Keep space around it clear; no boxes, curtains or cupboards
  • Check that vents are not clogged with dust or lint
  • Listen for the fan on models that have one

What not to do

  • Do not throw water or wet cloth on the inverter
  • Do not cover it with a plastic sheet or closed box

When to call us

  • Assess the location and fit a proper sun shade
  • Clean or replace the fan
  • Move the inverter if the room cannot ventilate

Punjab summers

Summer heat in Faisalabad and Lahore pushes many inverters into derating. We can relocate or shade your Sungrow and clean its vents and fan.
