What you will see

  • PV Abnormal Alarm with a string number
  • One string produces much less than the others in iSolarCloud
  • Total generation lower than usual on clear days

Why it happens

Each code maps to a string number, so the inverter is pointing at one part of your roof. Shade from a new tank or wall, dirt, or a failed connection on that string all show up this way.

What you can check yourself

  • Compare string values in the app
  • Look for new shade on that part of the roof at the time
  • Clean panels safely from the ground or with proper access, using plain water

What not to do

  • Do not open combiner boxes or replace fuses yourself

When to call us

  • Measure that string's voltage and current
  • Check connectors and DC fuse
  • Thermal or visual inspection of the panels

Dust and new buildings

In Faisalabad and Lahore, industrial dust and new construction next door are frequent causes of one weak string. We can find which panel is responsible.
