About Solis

Solis is an international inverter manufacturer with a range that runs from single-phase home hybrids to large three-phase string inverters for commercial and industrial plants. Solis on-grid inverters

An on-grid inverter has no battery. It runs your load on solar during the day and works with the grid at other times. It is the simpler choice when the main goal is a lower daytime bill rather than backup during load-shedding.

Choosing a Solis hybrid: what to check

1. Low-voltage or high-voltage battery

This is the biggest decision with Solis. Low-voltage models use 48 V class lithium batteries, the common choice for homes. High-voltage models use stacked battery modules and are more typical in larger and commercial systems. The battery and inverter must be chosen as a pair. 2. Approved battery list

Solis publishes lists of batteries its hybrids are tested to communicate with. We only pair a Solis hybrid with a battery that suits it, so charging and protection work correctly.

3. Single-phase or three-phase

A 6 or 8 kW model is single-phase. At 10-12 kW there are both options. If you have a three-phase connection, a three-phase inverter spreads the load across all lines. Read our three-phase vs single-phase inverter guide.

4. Backup output

In a hybrid system, the backup output feeds selected loads during an outage. Check how much the backup side can carry, especially if you want an AC to run during load-shedding.

5. Monitoring

Solis systems are monitored through the Solis cloud platform and app via a data logger. You can check daily generation, consumption and battery level from your phone. We set up monitoring at handover where the equipment supports it.

Solis 6 kW hybrid compared with Inverex and Knox

Warranty and genuine stock

Solis inverters carry the manufacturer's own warranty, and terms vary by model. The manufacturer's warranty for each product is listed on your quotation. For equipment we supplied, we handle the claim with Solis's Pakistan distributor for you.

To check you are getting genuine stock:

• Ask how the warranty is registered.
