What you will see

  • A code or short message on the screen, with or without a red light.
  • A matching alarm in the monitoring app, often with a time stamp.

Why it happens

Solis, Growatt, Huawei, Goodwe and others number their codes differently, but the causes behind them are similar.

Grid faults cover voltage or frequency out of range and grid lost. They usually clear on their own. PV faults cover isolation, over-voltage and string problems, and need a technician. Battery faults cover communication and protection, and need checking. Temperature faults point to ventilation. System faults are internal and mean the unit needs service.

What you can check yourself

  • Photograph the full screen, not just the number.
  • Note whether the code is active now or only listed in history.
  • Look up the code in your inverter manual or the app’s alarm help, which usually names the family.
  • Record how often it appears.

What not to do

  • Do not clear the alarm history before we have seen it.
  • Do not follow online advice to change settings to make a code disappear.

When to call us

  • Any PV, isolation, battery or system fault.
  • Any grid fault that repeats daily.
