What you will see

  • ID005 in the Event List
  • Often on damp or humid days
  • Red light on the inverter

Why it happens

Damp panels and cables let some current leak to earth. Damaged cable insulation or a fault in the inverter's measuring circuit can also trigger it.

Diagram

Restart once, call if it returns

Clears after restart

A one-off leakage spike, often on a damp day.

Comes back

Wiring insulation or the inverter's sensor needs an engineer.

Applies to SOFAR KTLM, KTLX, HYD and ESI inverters.

What you can check yourself

  • Restart once in the correct order using our safe restart guide
  • Note the weather when it happened
  • Look for visibly damaged cables from a safe position

What not to do

  • Do not keep restarting if it returns
  • Do not touch frames or cables while the fault is active

When to call us

  • Insulation test of AC and DC cables
  • Check earthing
  • Raise a warranty case if the inverter's sensor is faulty

Humid weeks

ID005 is more common in the Punjab monsoon. Our Faisalabad and Lahore engineers test insulation and earthing to find the cause.
