What you will see
- The inverter shows current production while the app still shows an earlier value.
- A load change appears locally before it appears online.
- The app updates in steps rather than continuously.
- One device has an older timestamp than the others.
Why it happens
Solis explains that cloud readings can be periodic snapshots. Such a reading represents a sampled operating moment, rather than a continuously live display or necessarily an average over the reporting interval.
Communication availability and the particular logger also belong in the review. A normal upload interval should not be used to dismiss data that remains stale well beyond the system’s expected behaviour.
For a meaningful comparison, record both displays with their times. The installer can then establish whether the difference concerns ordinary reporting, interrupted uploads or a device that is no longer communicating.

What you can check yourself
- Keep the app’s last-update time visible.
- Record the local display at approximately the same moment.
- Note whether other devices are updating normally.
- Check whether the site’s ordinary internet connection is available.
- If the inverter itself reports a fault, include it. Restoring the app connection does not automatically resolve a physical operating fault.
What not to do
- Do not repeatedly restart power equipment to make an app refresh. Do not assume that a changing phone clock means the displayed plant reading is current. Avoid comparing screenshots taken several minutes apart as simultaneous evidence.
