What you will see

  • Short stops with code 13, often during unstable supply
  • Fault appears around load-shedding switch-over times

Why it happens

Voltage spikes, dips and distortion when the grid switches back on, or when large loads nearby start and stop, can all trigger this protection.

Inside or outside the allowed window

In range

Voltage, frequency and wave shape inside the limits. Inverter runs.

Out of range

A spike, dip or distortion, often when the grid returns. Inverter disconnects with code 13.

Sungrow inverters reconnect once the grid settles.

What you can check yourself

  • Note the times and whether they line up with the grid returning after load-shedding
  • Check if other appliances misbehave at the same time

What not to do

  • Do not change grid protection settings in the app yourself

When to call us

  • Record grid voltage and frequency at the inverter
  • Check the grid code setting
  • Check AC connections and any voltage protector

Unstable supply after load-shedding

Supply that comes back with spikes is common in parts of Faisalabad and Lahore. We can measure it at your inverter and tell you whether the cause is the grid or your installation.
