What you will see

  • Code 106 at start-up or soon after
  • Often appears after electrical work, a meter change or new wiring in the house

Why it happens

The inverter checks that it has a proper earth reference. A broken earth wire, a dry or corroded earth pit, or AC wires connected to the wrong terminals all cause this fault.

Treat code 106 as a safety fault. Do not keep restarting.

Applies to all Sungrow inverters.

What you can check yourself

  • Note any recent electrical work, meter change or renovation
  • Check whether you have an earthing record for the installation

What not to do

  • Do not run the inverter without earth
  • Do not open the AC terminal cover

When to call us

  • Verify AC wiring order at the inverter
  • Test earth continuity and the earth pit
  • Check insulation between earth and live

Earthing checks

Dry earth pits and missing earth wires are common findings in older Faisalabad and Lahore houses. We test earthing and give you a written record.
