On Grid Inverter Price in Pakistan: 25 to 100 kW Factory Systems

Short answer

For a 25 to 100 kW factory or commercial rooftop, the usual choice is one or more three-phase on-grid string inverters from an established brand such as Huawei, Sungrow, Solis or GoodWe, sized to your daytime load, your roof layout and your export plan. On-grid inverters have no battery, so they cut the daytime bill but stop during load-shedding unless the design includes a generator or battery interface. The on grid inverter price in Pakistan moves with the dollar rate; see the table below and WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate.

This guide explains what to look for in a commercial on-grid inverter. For the full plant design process, see our industrial and commercial solar page.

What an on-grid string inverter does in a factory

A string inverter takes DC power from "strings" of panels wired in series and converts it to three-phase AC that runs your machines alongside the grid. It always follows the grid: when grid power is present, it produces; when the grid fails, it shuts down within moments for safety, so it does not feed a dead line where linemen may be working.

For factories that run mainly in daytime, this is often the simplest and lowest-cost way to cut units from the bill. Sites that need power during outages add a generator interface or a battery; see solar + generator hybrid and BESS for factories.

One big inverter or several smaller ones?

At 25 to 100 kW, there are two common layouts:

LayoutExample (illustrative)StrengthsTrade-offs
One large inverter1 × 50 kWFewer units to mount, one monitoring deviceIf it stops, the whole plant stops
Several mid-size inverters2 × 25 kW, or 4 × 25 kW for 100 kWPartial output continues if one fails; easier to split across roof sectionsMore units and AC combiners

Many designs at this scale use more than one inverter for resilience and to suit separate sheds or roof faces. The right split depends on the roof, the cable runs and the distribution board.

The features that matter

Multiple MPPTs

An MPPT (maximum power point tracker) is an independent input that optimises one group of strings. Factory roofs often have panels on east and west slopes of a shed, rows shaded by parapets, or several roofs. More MPPTs let each group work at its own best point.

The count varies widely by model. For example, Solis's 25 kW S5-GC model has three MPPTs, Huawei's 50 kW SUN2000-50KTL-M3 has four, Sungrow's SG50CX has five, and Sungrow's 110 kW SG110CX has nine. String layout is explained in series vs parallel wiring.

DC input and oversizing

Commercial designs often connect somewhat more panel capacity than the inverter's AC rating. The limit comes from the datasheet: maximum DC input, maximum string voltage and current per MPPT. Our DC/AC ratio guide explains how far to go.

Monitoring

Every brand here has a cloud platform (FusionSolar for Huawei, iSolarCloud for Sungrow, the Solis cloud, SEMS for GoodWe). For a factory, monitoring is not a luxury: it shows when a string trips, when output drops from dust, or when an inverter goes offline. See solar monitoring apps.

Export control (zero export)

If you do not have a net billing agreement, or your DISCO limits export, the inverters must be set to limit or block export using a meter or CT on the incoming supply. With several inverters, this usually needs a brand-specific controller or smart meter that manages them together. Read zero export device before you design.

Working with a generator

Many Punjab factories run a generator during outages. A standard on-grid inverter may try to sync with the generator, which can overload or destabilise it if solar exceeds the load. A proper design uses a controller that limits solar output to a safe share of generator load, or an interlock that keeps solar off generator supply. See solar + generator hybrid.

Protection and environment

Check the enclosure protection rating for dusty or lint-heavy sites, the operating temperature range for tin-shed roofs in June, and built-in surge protection. DC and AC breakers and surge devices are still required outside the inverter; see breakers and protection and solar on tin sheet roofs.

Brands we use at this scale

BrandTypical on-grid familyWhere it fits
HuaweiSUN2000 KTL rangeFactories wanting strong monitoring and a single ecosystem with Huawei storage later
SungrowCX commercial rangeMid to large plants; high MPPT counts on larger models
SolisS5 three-phase GC range20 to 40 kW roofs, shops, plazas and small factories
GoodWeSDT and SMT rangesCommercial roofs and mid-size factories

All four are established international names. The choice usually comes down to the sizes that suit your split, MPPT count, export control with multiple units, and whether you may add Huawei or Sungrow storage later.

The inverter is a modest share of a commercial plant's cost. Panels, structure, cabling, protection and installation make up most of it. Other sizes and home models are on our solar inverter price in Pakistan page. If you need backup as well, compare 12 to 20 kW three-phase hybrid inverters.

Rules that affect inverter sizing

Under the 2026 net billing regulations, the system cannot exceed your sanctioned load, with an overall cap of 1 MW, and a DISCO may refuse new connections on a transformer whose connected generation has reached 80 percent of its rating. Exporting systems of 25 kW or smaller are approved by the DISCO; above 25 kW, NEPRA concurrence and a one-time fee per kW apply. See NEPRA licence and the 25 kW rule and our net metering and net billing guide.

Because exported units earn less than imported ones, most factories size on-grid plants to their daytime load first. If maximum demand charges are part of your bill, read MDI on your electricity bill.

How Solar Works Pakistan designs factory on-grid systems

  1. Load study from 12 months of bills and, where useful, logged daytime demand.
  2. Site survey of sheds, roofs, distribution boards and generator set-up.
  3. AutoCAD layout by our in-house engineers, with strings mapped to MPPTs.
  4. Inverter split and export plan, including generator and zero-export control.
  5. Detailed BOQ naming every brand, model and warranty.
  6. Installation and commissioning by our own teams, with testing before handover.

We have served 300+ customers, including 50+ industrial clients, since our founding in 2021. Every project carries a 3-year structure warranty and a 1-year service warranty under the applicable project terms, with a 48-hour target to send service personnel after a complaint is registered. Installation time for larger plants follows a project-specific schedule.

Frequently asked questions

What is the on grid inverter price in Pakistan?

It depends on size, brand and the dollar rate, so check the price table above. WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate on the sizes you need.

What is the 25 kW inverter price in Pakistan?

A 25 kW three-phase on-grid inverter from Solis, GoodWe, Huawei or Sungrow is priced by brand and features such as MPPT count. Ask us for today's rate and we will compare two or three options.

Does an on-grid inverter work during load-shedding?

No. It shuts down when the grid fails, for safety. To keep running in outages, the design needs a battery, a hybrid inverter or a generator with a suitable controller.

Can I run an on-grid inverter with my factory generator?

Yes, with the right controls. Without them, solar can push power back towards the generator and cause trips or damage. We design a limiter or interlock for each site.

How many MPPTs does a factory inverter need?

Enough to give each roof face or shaded section its own input. A single flat roof may need few; several sheds facing different ways need more. We map strings to MPPTs in the design.

Is one 100 kW inverter better than four 25 kW inverters?

One unit is simpler, but if it fails the whole plant stops. Several smaller units keep part of the plant running and suit split roofs. The right answer depends on the site.

Which inverter brand is best for a factory?

Huawei, Sungrow, Solis and GoodWe are all established choices. We pick per site based on sizes, MPPTs, export control and future storage plans.
