Solar Panel Installation Services in Punjab

Short answer

Solar Works Pakistan designs and installs solar systems from about 6 kW to megawatt scale across Punjab, using our own in-house engineers and our own installation teams. Every project follows the same route: a normally free site survey, a load and feasibility check, an engineered design and detailed BOQ, then installation, safe commissioning, handover and after-sales support.

This page explains exactly what happens at each step, what is included, how long a solar panel installation takes, and what support you get after the system is running.

What our solar installation service covers

A solar system installation is more than fixing panels to a roof. A good result depends on the design, the structure, the electrical protection and the commissioning checks, all of which sit with the same company under one responsibility.

Who we install for

We serve industrial, commercial and residential customers. Since our founding in 2021 we have served 300+ customers, including 50+ industrial clients, in sectors such as textile, dyeing, looms, soap manufacturing, schools, hospitals and petrol pumps.

If you are looking at 1, 2 or 3 kW, our guide to how many panels you need will help you check whether a small system really covers your load. Most homes that run a fridge, fans and one AC need more than they first expect, which is why our projects start at about 6 kW.

Our solar panel installation process, step by step

1. First call or WhatsApp

You tell us what you want to run, your backup needs and your location in Punjab. We ask for your electricity bill.

2. Bills and load details

We review the last 12 months of bills, or a list of loads if the building is new. This shows your units, sanctioned load and seasonal pattern.

3. Site survey

An engineer visits to check the roof or ground, shading, structure options, cable routes and where the inverter, batteries and protection will sit. Site surveys are normally free. Read what happens during a free solar site survey.

4. Load and feasibility assessment

We match the system size and type (on-grid, hybrid or off-grid) to your load, roof space, budget, backup needs and expansion plans. We balance generation, reliability, budget and future growth rather than designing around one number.

5. Engineering and system design

Our in-house team prepares the system design, AutoCAD layout and structural design. String sizing, cable sizes and protection devices are chosen at this stage, not on site.

6. Detailed quotation and BOQ

You receive a detailed quotation with a bill of quantities listing each item's brand, model, quantity, specification and warranty. Use our BOQ checklist for comparing solar quotations to compare it fairly against others.

7. Advance payment

Projects generally work on an advance-payment basis. Payment milestones are agreed per project, depending on size, procurement and installation stages.

8. Procurement

We source the selected equipment and prepare the structure materials.

9. Installation

Our teams fabricate and assemble the structure on site, mount the panels, run DC and AC cabling, install the inverter, batteries and protection, and complete the earthing. We work with proper PPE and electrical safety practice.

10. Testing and safe commissioning

Before handover, all necessary tests and checks for safe commissioning are completed. Typical checks include polarity and string voltages, insulation, earthing continuity, breaker and SPD installation, inverter settings and monitoring connection.

11. Training and handover

We show you how to operate the system and inverter, read the monitoring app and understand basic system status. You receive the relevant project documents. The exact handover package depends on the equipment installed.

12. Monitoring and after-sales support

New systems are designed with monitoring capability, and we monitor projects remotely subject to the equipment's capability. After-sales service is handled by our own staff.

How long does solar installation take?

Small projects can normally be completed in about one week, subject to timely payment, equipment availability, site readiness and project conditions. Larger commercial and industrial projects follow a project-specific engineering and execution schedule, which we share with you before work starts. We do not promise a fixed completion date for large projects without that schedule.

Net-billing approval from your distribution company (FESCO, LESCO or another DISCO) runs on its own timeline, separate from the installation. See our net metering and net billing guide.

What affects installation cost

Installation is priced as part of the whole system, not as a separate labour line only. The main cost drivers are:

Warranties and after-sales support

ItemCoverage
Solar panels, inverters, batteriesManufacturer warranty per product
Solar Works structure3-year structure warranty
Solar Works service1-year service warranty, including breaker replacement, subject to the applicable project terms
After the first yearService and maintenance on request, charged per visit; a maintenance contract can be arranged if you need one

Service response: once you register a complaint, we target sending service or engineering personnel within 48 hours to begin diagnosis. Final repair time depends on the fault, the equipment, spare-parts availability and any manufacturer involvement, so we do not promise every fault is fixed within 48 hours.

Before calling, you can run a few safe owner checks with our solar inverter faults guide and monitoring app guide.

Looking for a "solar technician near me" or solar repair?

Yes. Our own after-sales team supports systems we installed across Punjab, and we also attend and repair systems installed by other companies on a paid visit. Send photos of the inverter label and the fault screen on WhatsApp and we will arrange it.

Why customers choose an engineering-led installer

A low quote often saves money in the places you cannot see: thinner structure sections, undersized cables, AC breakers on the DC side, or no proper earthing. These problems show up later as hot connectors, tripping breakers, rust or damaged inverters. Our approach is "best value without compromise": the right design and equipment for your load and budget, written clearly in the BOQ.

Our power-generation experience goes back to the 1980s through our founder, Akram Ullah Khan, whose career includes WAPDA and Saudi Electricity Company. Solar Works Pakistan itself was founded in 2021. For an independent checklist of what to look for in any installer, read how to choose a solar company.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a solar panel installation take?

Small projects are normally completed in about one week, subject to timely payment, equipment availability and site readiness. Larger commercial and industrial projects follow a project-specific schedule agreed before work begins.

Is the site survey free?

Site surveys are normally free. An engineer checks your roof or ground, shading, structure options and equipment locations, then we prepare a design and quotation.

Do you use subcontracted installation crews?

No. Design is done in-house by our engineering team, structures are fabricated and assembled on site by our teams, and installation is carried out by our own execution teams.

What is the smallest system you install?

Our projects start from about 6 kW. If you are considering a 1 to 3 kW system, we can help you check your load first, as many homes need more capacity than they expect.

What warranty do I get on installation?

Panels, inverters and batteries carry their manufacturer's warranty per product. Solar Works provides a 3-year structure warranty and a 1-year service warranty, including breaker replacement, subject to the applicable project terms.

How quickly will you respond if my system has a fault?

Once a complaint is registered, we target sending service personnel within 48 hours to start diagnosis. The time to fully fix a fault depends on the fault type, parts and any manufacturer involvement.

Which areas do you cover?

We install throughout Punjab from our Faisalabad head office and Lahore branch.
