Complete Solar System Price in Pakistan: 5kW, 10kW, 15kW and 20kW
Short answer
A complete solar system price in Pakistan depends on its size, whether it is on-grid or hybrid with a lithium battery, the panel and inverter brands, the battery size, the structure your roof needs and the dollar rate on the day. Send your last 12 months of electricity bills on WhatsApp (0336 666 4321) and we will size the system and send today's price.
Solar system price in Pakistan by size
Complete, installed systems. "On-grid" means no battery: the system runs alongside the grid and shuts down during load-shedding for safety. "Hybrid" adds a lithium battery so selected loads keep running when the grid is off.
| System size | Typical home or building | Battery in a hybrid quote | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 kW | Small house, 2–3 fans and lights, fridge, 1 AC in daytime | About 5 kWh | WhatsApp for today's rate |
| 6 kW | 5–7 marla house, 1–2 inverter ACs in daytime | About 5–10 kWh | |
| 8 kW | 10 marla house, 2 ACs | About 10 kWh | |
| 10 kW | 10 marla to 1 kanal house, 2–3 ACs | About 10–15 kWh | |
| 15 kW | 1 kanal house, shop or small office | About 15 kWh | |
| 20 kW | Large house, school, clinic or showroom | About 15–20 kWh+ |
Prices change with the dollar rate, import costs and stock. House sizes are rough guides only; two 10 marla houses can need very different systems. Your bill tells us far more than your plot size.
For each component on its own, see the solar panel price, solar inverter price and lithium battery price pages.
What is included in a complete solar system
A low headline price often means something has been left out. We quote with a detailed BOQ (bill of quantities) naming the brand, model, quantity and specification of each item.

Why two "10kW" quotes can differ so much
- Panel brand and technology. Premium N-type and back-contact families cost more per watt.
- Inverter brand and type. A three-phase on-grid inverter, a single-phase hybrid and a premium hybrid with a high-voltage battery are very different products.
- Battery size. In a hybrid quote the battery can be the biggest single item. A "10kW hybrid" with a small battery is not the same as one with a large battery.
- Structure. A simple frame on a flat roof costs less than an elevated structure. See L2 vs L3 vs elevated structures.
- Cable and protection quality. Thinner cable and missing surge protection save money on day one and cost more later.
- What is left out. Some quotes exclude transport, earthing, civil work or commissioning.
Compare quotes line by line, not by the total at the bottom.
On-grid or hybrid: which price should you look at?
On-grid is the lower-cost option. It cuts your daytime grid use and can export surplus where you have an approved net-billing connection. It does not run during load-shedding.
Hybrid costs more because of the battery and a battery-capable inverter. It gives backup during outages and lets you use more of your own solar at night instead of buying it from the grid.
Since 9 February 2026, new connections are on net billing: exported units currently earn about Rs 10–11 each (as low as Rs 8), far below what you pay for grid units, and agreements run for five years. Existing net metering agreements keep their terms until they expire. That makes self-use more valuable than export, which pushes many homes towards hybrid or a carefully sized on-grid system. Read the net metering and net billing guide and the hybrid vs on-grid vs off-grid comparison.
5kW solar system price in Pakistan: what you get
A 5kW system is a common starting point for a family home. With today's 615 W panels it needs 9 panels. It suits fans, lights, a fridge, a washing machine and a TV during the day; one inverter AC in summer daytime, depending on the rest of the load; and a small lithium battery for fans and lights at night if you choose hybrid.
Many families who start at 5kW add a second AC within a year or two. If that is likely, consider a 6kW system or an inverter that leaves room to expand.
6kW and 8kW solar systems
We design projects from about 6kW upwards, so the 6kW solar system price in Pakistan is where most of our home quotes begin. 6kW to 8kW suits a typical 5 to 10 marla home with one or two inverter ACs, and a shop or small clinic that uses most of its power in daylight.
10kW solar system price in Pakistan: the most popular home size
A 10kW system is the size we quote most often for larger homes. With 615 W panels it needs about 17 panels, roughly 500 square feet of panel area, or about 650 to 750 square feet of clear roof once walkways and row spacing are added. See how many solar panels for a 5kW or 10kW system.
A 10kW system can run two to three inverter ACs on a sunny day alongside normal household loads, depending on your actual usage.
15kW and 20kW solar systems
At 15kW and 20kW you are usually looking at a large house, a school, a clinic or a commercial building, often on a three-phase connection. Three-phase inverters, larger battery banks and elevated structures become common. Above 20kW, see industrial and commercial solar; we build up to megawatt scale for factories and textile units.
Searching for a 3kW solar system price?
A 3kW system sounds affordable, but it produces too little for most Punjab homes once summer arrives, and the fixed costs (inverter, structure, protection, labour) take a larger share of a small system's price. We design systems from about 6kW upwards. If your load is genuinely small, check it first with the solar calculator or send us your bills; if 6kW is more than you need, we will tell you.
How to estimate the right size from your bill
- Find the highest monthly units (kWh) on your last 12 bills; summer is usually the peak.
- Divide by 30 to get daily units.
- Divide by the average useful sun hours per day to get a rough system size.
Example arithmetic only: a highest summer bill of 900 units is about 30 units a day. Assuming about 5 useful sun hours, 30 ÷ 5 = 6 kW. Real output varies with season, dust, smog, shading and panel angle. The solar calculator does this for you; for the full process, read the rooftop solar for homes buyer's guide.
How we price and install your system
- A first call or WhatsApp chat about your needs.
- You send your electricity bills or load list.
- A site survey, which is normally free.
- Load and feasibility check, then system design by our in-house engineers and AutoCAD team.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of a 5kW solar system in Pakistan?
It depends on on-grid or hybrid, the brands, battery size and structure. WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 with your bills for today's rate.
What is the 10kW solar system price in Pakistan?
It depends mainly on the inverter and battery size. A 10kW system uses about 17 of today's 615 W panels. WhatsApp us for today's on-grid and hybrid rates.
Is a hybrid solar system worth the extra cost?
It gives backup during load-shedding and lets you use more of your own solar at night. Under net billing, each unit you use yourself saves your full tariff, while an exported unit earns only about Rs 10–11. If you rarely face outages and use most power in daytime, on-grid may be enough.
Does Solar Works Pakistan install 3kW systems?
We design systems from about 6kW upwards. A 3kW system is usually too small for a Punjab home in summer. Send us your bills and we will tell you honestly what size you need.
What is included in your solar system price?
Panels, inverter, battery (for hybrid), mounting structure, DC and AC cables, protection devices, installation, commissioning, monitoring setup and the net billing application. Everything is listed by brand, model and quantity in the BOQ. DISCO fees and meters are normally separate.
How long does installation take?
Small projects are normally completed in about one week, subject to payment, stock and site readiness. Larger projects follow a project-specific schedule.
What warranty do I get?
Each manufacturer's warranty on panels, inverters and batteries, plus our 3-year structure warranty and a 1-year service warranty under the project terms.
Why do solar system prices change so often?
Most equipment is imported, so prices move with the dollar rate, import costs and stock. That is why we confirm the day's rate on WhatsApp before quoting.
