What you will see

  • Export on the bill lower than the app’s total for the month.
  • No export credited at all.
  • Import on the bill higher than expected.

Why it happens

The app measures at the inverter, while the bill uses the DISCO’s bidirectional meter at a different point and on a different reading date. Wiring losses and differing reading dates explain small gaps.

Larger gaps come from estimated readings, a meter reader recording the wrong register, a meter that is not configured for export, or a billing error.

What you can check yourself

  • Photograph your meter’s import and export readings on the bill’s reading date.
  • Compare those with the figures printed on the bill.
  • Add up the app’s export for the exact same dates.
  • Check the bill for an “estimated” or average-reading remark.

What not to do

  • Do not tamper with the meter or its seals.
  • Do not ignore a repeated gap. Complaints are time-sensitive.

When to call us

  • The gap is large or repeats month after month.
  • No export has ever been credited.
