Why it happens
Solis explains that control response takes time after load changes and that monitoring can capture a transient export condition. Its guidance also stresses correct meter and current-transformer installation for monitoring and control.
A transient explanation should not be used to dismiss persistent export. The installer should verify the measurement arrangement, controller status, configured objective and behaviour under the site’s operating conditions.
If an export restriction is part of the site’s agreement, provide that requirement for the review. Equipment capability and the agreed acceptance criteria must be assessed together.

What not to do
- Do not disable control, reverse a current transformer or change grid protection. Do not assume that a small recorded export is automatically permitted. Avoid deliberately cycling large loads to test compliance yourself.
