SAJ uses the same code numbers on the R5 single phase and R6 three phase on-grid ranges. The R5 shows the number only (for example 24); the R6 adds "E0" (for example E024). The table below comes from SAJ's R5 and R6 user manuals.

What SAJ error codes mean, in plain words

The inverter checks the grid, the panels, earthing and its own temperature many times a second. When a reading goes outside its safe range, it stops feeding power and shows a code. Codes marked "Master" and "Slave" in the manual are the same checks done by two measuring boards; a mismatch between them is reported separately.

SAJ safe owner checks

  • Photograph the screen and note the date and time.
  • Open the eSolar app and look at Event info to see how often the error repeats.
  • During load-shedding, a "No grid" or "Grid lost" error is normal. It clears when the supply returns.
  • Check whether your main breaker or a voltage protector has tripped.
  • Keep the heat sink free of dust and the area around the inverter ventilated. Never wash the inverter with water.
  • For meter communication errors, check that the meter display is on.

When to call an engineer

  • Relay, memory (EEPROM), GFCI or DCI device, current sensor, bus or hardware errors that repeat.
  • Grid voltage errors that happen every afternoon: we measure the voltage at the inverter and check the AC cable size and length.
  • Insulation (ISO) or leakage (GFCI) errors, especially after rain or panel washing.
  • Arc (AFCI) errors: switch off at the AC breaker and call us.

SAJ service in Punjab

We service SAJ inverters in Faisalabad, Lahore and across Punjab, including systems installed by other companies, as a paid visit.
