Solis 8kW Hybrid Inverter vs GoodWe, Inverex and Knox: 8 kW Compared

Short answer

At 8 kW, the deciding question is your connection: Solis, Inverex and Knox 8 kW hybrids are single-phase units built for 48 V class batteries, while the GoodWe 8 kW hybrid most often sold is a three-phase model built for high-voltage batteries. Pick the phase and battery voltage first, then compare brands on monitoring, parallel options and backup rating. Prices change with the dollar rate, so check the tables below and WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate.

We supply all four brands, so this is a fair comparison, not a sales push. If you are still choosing between sizes, our 6 kW comparison and 10 kW comparison cover the sizes either side.

Who an 8 kW hybrid inverter suits

An 8 kW hybrid sits between the common 6 kW home inverter and the 10 kW class. It usually makes sense when:

If your load is clearly above 10 kW, skip ahead to our 12 to 20 kW three-phase hybrid guide.

Single-phase or three-phase at 8 kW?

Most 8 kW hybrids in the Pakistani market are single-phase. That suits most Punjab homes, which are on single-phase meters. The exception is GoodWe, whose best-known 8 kW hybrid is part of its three-phase ET range.

A single-phase inverter on a three-phase connection only serves one phase; loads on the other two still come from the grid. Our three-phase vs single-phase inverter guide explains both cases. If you plan to export power, note that the 2026 net billing rules refer to three-phase 400 V or 11 kV connections; see our net metering and net billing guide.

A three-phase high-voltage hybrid like the GoodWe usually costs more than a single-phase 48 V unit of the same kW, and its battery is priced differently too. Compare complete systems, not inverter labels. For other sizes, see our full solar inverter price in Pakistan list.

Solis 8 kW hybrid inverter: what to know

The Solis S6-EH1P L-PLUS range is a single-phase, low-voltage hybrid family that includes an 8 kW model. According to Solis, the range accepts batteries in the 40 to 60 V band, has two MPPTs and allows several units to run in parallel. Buyers choose it for:

Points to check: the backup output rating, and that the battery we quote communicates with this exact model.

GoodWe 8 kW hybrid inverter: what to know

GoodWe's 8 kW ET model is a three-phase hybrid for high-voltage batteries, with two MPPTs and fast switchover to backup when the grid fails. This makes it a different kind of system from the other three:

GoodWe makes its own batteries, but they are not in our range; we pair GoodWe hybrids with compatible high-voltage batteries from the brands we stock. Some sellers also offer other GoodWe 8 kW variants, so check the model code on the quote.

Inverex 8 kW hybrid: what to know

Inverex is one of the most familiar inverter names in Punjab, and an 8 kW single-phase hybrid with a 48 V battery input has been sold under the Nitrox name. At least one retailer now lists that model as discontinued, so the 8 kW Inverex you are quoted may be a newer version or a different family. Buyers like Inverex for:

Points to check: the exact model code, its PV input limit, and which lithium batteries it communicates with.

Knox 8 kW hybrid: what to know

Knox sells 8 kW single-phase hybrids in more than one family, including Krypton and Xenon, which differ in features such as enclosure protection. Listings for the Krypton 8 kW describe parallel operation with several units. Buyers like Knox for:

Points to check: which family is quoted, its protection rating, and its battery compatibility list.

Rules that apply to all four:

  1. Choose the battery with the inverter. 48 V and high-voltage batteries are not interchangeable. See lithium battery price in Pakistan for Luminey and current Huawei and Sungrow options options.
  2. Check parallel before you need it. If you might add a second unit, confirm the model supports it and how. Our parallel inverters guide explains the rules.
  3. Check the backup rating, not just "8 kW". The power available in an outage can be lower than the on-grid rating.
  4. Match panels to the MPPT inputs. Two MPPTs let you split panels across two roof faces.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Solis 8 kW hybrid inverter price in Pakistan?

It changes with the dollar rate and stock, so check the price table above. WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate, with or without a battery.

Is the GoodWe 8 kW hybrid single-phase?

The GoodWe 8 kW ET model is three-phase and uses a high-voltage battery. If your house has a single-phase meter, a single-phase 8 kW hybrid from Solis, Inverex or Knox is the usual fit.

Should I buy 8 kW or 10 kW?

If your daytime load sits comfortably under 8 kW and you are on single-phase, 8 kW is often enough. If you expect more ACs or a bigger battery soon, compare our 10 kW guide and ask us to check your bills.

Can two 8 kW inverters run in parallel?

Several single-phase 8 kW models support parallel operation, but the limit and wiring rules differ by brand. Both units normally need to be the same model and firmware. We confirm this for the exact model in your quote.

Which battery works with an 8 kW hybrid inverter?

Solis, Inverex and Knox 8 kW hybrids use 48 V class lithium batteries; the GoodWe ET needs a high-voltage battery. The battery must also be on the inverter's compatibility list so they communicate.

What warranty comes with an 8 kW hybrid inverter?

Each inverter carries its manufacturer's warranty per product. Solar Works Pakistan adds a 1-year service warranty under the applicable project terms.
