First check your connection: phase and sanctioned load

In towns like Gojra, Kamalia and Toba Tek Singh, many houses still have a single-phase connection with a modest sanctioned load. Both matter more under the 2026 rules than they did before.

1. Phase. Net billing is open to three-phase consumers. If you want to export surplus to FESCO, a single-phase house usually needs a three-phase connection first. See converting single-phase to three-phase.

Load-shedding and backup in smaller towns

Outside the big cities, outages can be longer and less predictable. Many households here rely on UPS units with tubular batteries, which charge from the grid and only cover a few fans and lights. Farmhouses, dairy and rural loads

Toba Tek Singh is a farming district: wheat, sugarcane, cotton, rice and maize, with livestock a major source of income. The typical rural loads we are asked about are:

FESCO rules for Toba Tek Singh district

The district is served by FESCO, which lists Toba Tek Singh among its districts alongside Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot and Sargodha. Gojra and Kamalia are tehsils of Toba Tek Singh, so they fall under FESCO too. NEPRA's national rules apply, as set out in our net metering and net billing guide:

• New solar connections since 9 February 2026 come under net billing: imports at your tariff, exports credited at the national average energy purchase price, reported at about Rs 10-11 per unit at notification.
• Existing net metering agreements keep their terms until expiry; changing capacity can move you to net billing.
• Capacity up to your sanctioned load; three-phase 400 V or 11 kV consumers only.
• FESCO approves systems up to 25 kW with no NEPRA fee. Larger systems need NEPRA concurrence and a one-time Rs 1,000 per kW (details).
• New applications are refused once solar on the transformer reaches 80% of its rating. Village transformers can be small, so ask early. See our green meter and FESCO application guide for documents and timelines.

How a project works

Every project follows the same steps:

1. WhatsApp review: bills, roof photos, loads and any outage pattern you want covered.
2. Free site survey (normally), checking the roof, shading, cable routes and earthing.
3. In-house design and detailed BOQ with brand, model, quantity and warranty for each item.
4. Installation by our own team, then testing, safe commissioning and a handover covering the inverter and monitoring app.

After a complaint is registered, we target sending service personnel within 48 hours to begin diagnosis; distance and spare parts can affect the time to a final fix. Small projects are normally completed in about one week, subject to payment, equipment availability and site readiness. Panels, inverters and batteries carry the manufacturer's warranty per product.
