Solar Panel Price in Pakistan Today
Short answer
Solar panels in Pakistan are priced per watt, so a 650 W panel costs more per plate than a 615 W panel of the same brand. Right now, panels of 615 W and above are readily available; everything below 615 W is out of stock. Today's rate moves with the dollar, import costs and stock. For the exact price on a specific brand and wattage, WhatsApp 0336 666 4321.
This page covers solar panel (solar plate) prices by wattage and by brand, explains why two panels of the same wattage can cost different amounts, and shows how many panels you need for a typical home, shop or factory system.

Manufacturer warranties by brand
Every panel carries two manufacturer warranties: a product warranty (defects in materials and workmanship) and a power warranty (how much output the panel still guarantees after years of use). These are the published terms for the large-format N-type lines that are readily available now (checked October 2026):
| Brand and line | Power range | Product warranty | Power warranty |
|---|---|---|---|
| LONGi Hi-MO 9 | 625–670 W | 12 years | 30 years |
| LONGi Hi-MO X10 | 630–650 W | 15 years | 30 years |
| JinkoSolar Tiger Neo 3.0 (large format) | 650–670 W | 12 years | 30 years |
| Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu7 | up to 720 W | 12 years | 30 years |
| JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0 Pro (JAM72D42) | 605–655 W | 12 years | 30 years |
| AIKO Stellar 3N+72 (ABC, bifacial) | 655–685 W | 15 years | 30 years |
| AIKO Comet 3N72e (ABC) | 595–630 W | 15 years | 30 years |
| Cora Dawn N-type BC bifacial | 640–670 W | 15 years | 30 years |
| Jasco | Ask for current models | 12 years | 30 years |
Terms differ between models, sizes and markets, and manufacturers update them. Check the datasheet and warranty document for the exact model number on your quote.
The power warranty matters more than the headline year count. On these N-type lines, makers typically guarantee no more than about 1% loss in the first year and 0.35–0.4% per year after that. Older P-type PERC panels were usually warranted for 25 years with faster yearly loss.
Why solar panel prices in Pakistan are quoted per watt
Panels are traded by the watt, not by the piece. A 650 W panel and a 615 W panel from the same brand may cost almost the same per watt, but the 650 W panel costs more per plate because it produces more power.
To compare quotes fairly:
- Take the price per panel.
- Divide it by the panel's rated wattage.
- Compare that per-watt figure across brands and quotes.
For example, if two quotes give you a 615 W panel and a 650 W panel at the same per-plate price, the 650 W panel is the lower price per watt. Always do the division before deciding.
Per-watt price is a good starting point, but not the whole story. A slightly higher per-watt price for a better-built, verifiable panel can be the better long-term buy.
What changes the solar panel price in Pakistan
Prices can shift week to week. The main drivers are:
- Dollar rate. Panels are imported, so the rupee-dollar rate feeds straight into the price.
- Import duties, taxes and freight. Changes in import costs at the port show up in market rates within days.
- Stock in the market. When a popular wattage runs short, its price rises; when containers land, it eases.
- Technology. N-type panels and back-contact panels usually sit above older P-type PERC panels per watt.
- Brand and product line. Premium lines within the same brand cost more.
- Panel format. Large-format 650–720 W panels can differ in per-watt price from 580–585 W panels.
- Quantity. Larger orders for commercial and industrial projects are priced differently from single-home orders.
- Genuineness and grade. Very low prices can point to grade-B, refurbished or counterfeit stock. See our guide on how to check genuine solar panels, or verify a serial number on our module authenticity page.
This is why we show today's rate on request rather than a fixed price list.
N-type vs P-type solar panels: a short explanation
Most new panels sold in Pakistan are now N-type (commonly TOPCon, and in some premium lines back-contact). Older 540–550 W panels were mostly P-type mono PERC; they and every class below 615 W are now out of stock.
- N-type cells generally lose less output in heat and degrade more slowly over time than older P-type cells. That suits Punjab summers.
- P-type PERC is mature, proven technology. Many existing systems use it, but new stock is no longer available.
- Bifacial panels collect some light from the back as well. They gain the most on elevated structures over a light-coloured surface.
For the full comparison, read N-type vs P-type, bifacial and mono solar panels explained.
Best solar panels in Pakistan: how to choose
There is no single "best" solar panel for every roof. A good choice depends on:
- Roof space. If space is tight, higher-efficiency or higher-wattage panels fit more power on the same roof.
- Structure. Large-format panels (650 W and above) are heavier and longer, so the structure must be designed for them.
- Inverter. Panel voltage and current must match the inverter's input limits. This is an engineering check, not a guess.
- Verification. Buy a model whose serial numbers you can check with the manufacturer.
- Paperwork. You should receive the model number, quantity and manufacturer warranty details.
Our engineers select panels as part of the full system design, not in isolation. Browse all brands we supply.
How many solar panels do you need for 5, 10 or 15 kW?
Divide the system size in watts by the panel wattage and round up. The example below uses 615 W panels, the smallest size in stock now.
How many 615 W panels for each system size
- STEP 1System size in watts, e.g. 10 kW = 10,000 W
- STEP 2Divide by panel wattage: 10,000 ÷ 615 = 16.3
- STEP 3Round up: 17 panels = 10.46 kW
- THENEngineer checks strings against the inverter's input limits
| System size | Number of 615 W panels | Actual array size |
|---|---|---|
| 5 kW | 9 | 5.54 kW |
| 6 kW | 10 | 6.15 kW |
| 10 kW | 17 | 10.46 kW |
| 15 kW | 25 | 15.38 kW |
The final number also depends on how panels are wired into strings for your inverter, and on how much DC capacity the inverter can accept compared with its AC rating. For other wattages, see how many solar panels for a 5 kW or 10 kW system.
Our projects start from about 6 kW and go up to megawatt scale. If you are searching for a 1–3 kW setup, it is worth checking your bill first. Many homes that start small find they need more once air conditioners and daytime loads are counted. Use the solar calculator to see what size fits your bill.
Panel price vs complete system price
Panels are usually the largest single cost in a grid-tied system, but not the only one. A complete system also includes:
- Inverter (on-grid or hybrid) — see the solar inverter price in Pakistan
- Battery, if you need backup — see the lithium battery price in Pakistan
- Mounting structure
- DC and AC cables, breakers, surge protection and earthing
- Installation, testing and commissioning
- Net-metering or net-billing paperwork, where applicable — see our net metering and net billing guide

Frequently asked questions
What is the solar panel price in Pakistan today?
Panels are priced per watt, and the per-panel price depends on wattage and brand. Prices move with the dollar rate, import costs and stock. WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for the current rate on a specific model.
What is the price of a solar plate per watt in Pakistan?
It depends on brand and technology, and it changes week to week, so we confirm it on WhatsApp. To compare quotes, divide the panel price by its wattage. Always confirm the exact model number before comparing.
Which solar panel is best in Pakistan?
The best panel depends on your roof space, structure, inverter and budget. LONGi, JinkoSolar, Canadian Solar, JA Solar and AIKO all offer modern N-type lines. Choose a genuine, verifiable model that fits your system design rather than a brand name alone.
Is a 615 W panel better than a 585 W panel?
A 615 W panel produces more power per plate, so you need fewer panels for the same system size. It is also what you can actually buy: 585 W and every class below 615 W is out of stock right now. Both are usually N-type, but the larger panel is longer and heavier, so check that your structure and inverter suit it. Compare per-watt price and technology, not wattage alone.
Why do solar panel prices keep changing in Pakistan?
Panels are imported, so the rupee-dollar rate, import costs and market stock all affect the price. Prices can move within days when the dollar shifts or a shipment lands. That is why we confirm rates on request.
How many solar panels do I need for a 10 kW system?
With 615 W panels, a 10 kW system needs about 17 panels (10.46 kW). The exact number depends on the panel wattage and how the strings are designed for your inverter. Our engineers confirm this during the system design.
Do solar panels come with a warranty?
Yes. Each panel carries a manufacturer's product warranty and power warranty. On the large-format N-type lines we supply, the product warranty is usually 12 or 15 years and the power warranty 30 years, depending on the model. Solar Works Pakistan separately offers a 3-year structure warranty and a 1-year service warranty under the applicable project terms.
Do you install systems outside Faisalabad and Lahore?
Yes, we serve customers throughout Punjab from our Faisalabad head office and Lahore branch. Projects start from about 6 kW and go up to megawatt scale.
