What you will see
- No AC Connection during load-shedding
- No AC Connection while the rest of the house has power
- Inverter restarts a few minutes after the grid returns
Why it happens
On-grid inverters must stop the moment the grid disappears so no solar power flows into lines being worked on. Only a hybrid such as SPH with a battery keeps backup loads on.
If the grid is present, the inverter is not receiving it at its AC terminals: a tripped breaker, loose connector or wiring fault.
Error 302: normal or a problem?
Load-shedding
Expected safety stop.
Grid is on in the house
Needs a breaker and wiring check.
What you can check yourself
- Check whether the house has grid power
- Check the inverter's AC breaker is ON
- Wait a few minutes after the grid returns
What not to do
- Do not bypass anything to run an on-grid inverter in load-shedding
- Do not connect a generator to the inverter output
When to call us
- Check AC wiring and connector at the inverter
- Check breaker and any voltage protector
- Advise on a hybrid upgrade if you need backup
Load-shedding hours
On-grid Growatt systems across Faisalabad and Lahore show this every outage. If you want backup, we can survey your system for a hybrid upgrade.
