Inverex Veyron II vs Yukon II vs Nitrox
Short answer
Inverex Nitrox is the current main hybrid range, built for outdoor-rated installation, larger solar arrays and expansion; Veyron II is a compact, lower-voltage hybrid for small backup loads; and Yukon II is an older-style indoor hybrid in mid sizes. For a typical Punjab home or shop sized at 6 kW or more, Nitrox is usually the relevant choice. Veyron II and Yukon II mostly suit smaller loads that sit below the system sizes we design.
For Inverex prices across the range, see our Inverex inverter page. This guide only compares the three families.

Nitrox: the range most projects use
Nitrox is the Inverex name you will see on most current home and shop systems. Three things set it apart:
- IP65 rating. The enclosure is rated for dust and water jets, which gives more flexibility on where it goes. It still needs shade and airflow. See IP ratings for inverters, batteries and panels and where to install your inverter and battery.
- More panels per inverter. The 6.6 kW model takes up to 10.5 kW of panels across two MPPT inputs, according to Inverex. Two inputs also let you put panels on two roof faces or directions.
- Room to grow. Inverex lists the 6.6 kW model as parallel-capable up to 16 units, which matters for large homes and shops. See running two inverters in parallel.
Inverex uses the Nitrox name on both hybrid and on-grid models, so check the model code. Our side-by-side guides compare Nitrox with other brands: the 6 kW hybrid inverter comparison and the 10 kW hybrid inverter comparison.
Veyron II: compact and low-voltage
Veyron II Premium is a smaller hybrid. Its most noticeable features are a built-in Wi-Fi app and low battery voltages on the smaller sizes: 12 V or 24 V.
Low battery voltage means high battery current for the same power, which needs thicker cables and limits how much load the inverter can carry comfortably. That is why 12 V and 24 V systems are best kept to small loads such as fans, lights and a router. Our guide to 24 V vs 48 V lithium batteries explains the trade-off.
Retailers also list a 6 kW, 48 V Veyron II, which sits closer to Nitrox territory. If you are offered one, compare its PV input limit, number of MPPTs and enclosure rating with a Nitrox of the same size before deciding.
Yukon II: the older-style indoor hybrid
Yukon II is a familiar mid-size hybrid, listed at around 3.5 and 5.6 kW. Listings describe a wide PV voltage window, an 80 A solar charge controller, an anti-dust kit and the ability to run without a battery. Monitoring is through USB or RS232 rather than a built-in Wi-Fi app.
It is designed for indoor installation in a ventilated, shaded spot. Many homes already have one. If yours is giving trouble or you are expanding, read replacing an old or faulty solar inverter before buying a like-for-like unit.
Battery and backup questions
Can it run without a battery? Listings describe Yukon II and Veyron II as able to work without one. For Nitrox, behaviour without a battery depends on the model and its settings. During load-shedding, most hybrids need a battery to keep loads running. See can a solar inverter work without a battery?
Which battery? Match the battery voltage to the inverter and confirm the inverter communicates with the battery's BMS. We supply lithium batteries from Luminey and current Huawei and Sungrow options where compatible; see lithium battery price in Pakistan.
How fast does it switch over? Switchover time differs by model and mode. Our guide to hybrid inverter transfer time explains what to look for.

Which one should you choose?
| Your situation | Usually better |
|---|---|
| Home or shop needing a 6-10 kW system | Nitrox |
| Three-phase home or office | Nitrox three-phase hybrid |
| Inverter must go in a semi-open space (still shaded) | Nitrox (IP65) |
| You want a built-in Wi-Fi app on a small unit | Veyron II |

| Only fans, lights and a router during outages | A small unit may do, but read below |
A note on small systems. Solar Works Pakistan designs systems from about 6 kW upward. If your load really fits a 1.6-4 kW unit, check your bill first: many homes outgrow a small inverter once an AC or water pump is added. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Inverex Veyron II, Yukon II and Nitrox?
Nitrox is Inverex's main current hybrid range, with IP65 enclosures, larger PV input and parallel options. Veyron II is a compact hybrid with built-in Wi-Fi and low battery voltage on small sizes. Yukon II is an older-style indoor hybrid in mid sizes.
Which Inverex inverter is best for a 6 kW home system?
Usually the Nitrox 6.6 kW, because of its PV input, two MPPTs and outdoor-rated enclosure. A 6 kW Veyron II may also be offered; compare the datasheets side by side before choosing.
Is Inverex Yukon II discontinued?
At least one retailer lists a Yukon II size as discontinued, and Inverex's website currently shows NitroX models rather than Yukon II. Ask us what is in stock today.
Can Inverex Veyron II run an AC?
Small Veyron II sizes on 12 V or 24 V batteries are meant for light loads. Running an AC needs a properly sized system, usually 6 kW or more. See our solar for AC guide.
Does Inverex Nitrox have Wi-Fi monitoring?
Inverex lists Wi-Fi and 4G as options on Nitrox. We set up the monitoring app at handover where the equipment supports it.
Can I connect two Nitrox inverters together?
Inverex lists the Nitrox 6.6 kW as parallel-capable. Parallel systems need matching models, firmware and careful wiring, so they should be designed and commissioned by engineers.
