Solis vs Huawei Inverters for Homes and Factories
Short answer
Solis and Huawei are both strong inverter brands, and the right one depends on the system around it. For homes, the biggest difference is the battery: Solis offers single-phase hybrids that use common 48 V batteries, while Huawei's home hybrids use its own high-voltage LUNA2000 batteries as one matched system. For factories, their 100 kW-class string inverters are almost level on paper, so the choice turns on monitoring, site design, storage plans and delivered price. Pick the brand that fits your connection, battery plan and roof, then compare exact models.
For models and prices, see Solis inverters and Huawei inverters and batteries. If you are also looking at other pairs, see Huawei vs Sungrow for factories and Solis vs GoodWe for home hybrids.

Homes: two different philosophies
Solis: the open hybrid
Solis's single-phase S6-EH1P L-PLUS hybrid comes in 3 to 10 kW, works with 40-60 V batteries (the common 48 V class, with lithium and lead-acid listed), has two MPPTs, an IP66 enclosure, a backup switchover under 10 ms and up to six units in parallel. It fits the way most Punjab homes are built: a single-phase connection and a 48 V lithium battery.
Suits you if:
- your home is single-phase and you want one inverter up to 10 kW,
- you want a choice of battery, or already have a compatible 48 V battery,
- you may add a second unit in parallel later.
Huawei: the matched system
Huawei's home system is built as a set: a SUN2000 hybrid, LUNA2000 high-voltage battery modules, a SmartGuard device for backup during outages and the FusionSolar app. In Pakistan Huawei launched it in 2025 around the three-phase MAP0 and MB0 hybrids and LUNA2000 packs of 7, 14 and 21 kWh. The MAP0 we checked is three-phase with two MPPTs and IP66, takes only high-voltage LUNA2000 batteries, and needs SmartGuard for full three-phase backup.
Suits you if:
- your home is three-phase and you want one maker for everything,
- you value a single app covering inverter, battery and backup,
- you are happy to stay with LUNA2000 when adding batteries.

What this means in practice
| Your home | Lean towards | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Single-phase, 6-10 kW, 48 V battery | Solis S6-EH1P | Single-phase 48 V hybrid up to 10 kW |
| Single-phase, reusing an existing 48 V battery | Solis S6-EH1P | Accepts 48 V class batteries on its list |
| Three-phase, wants one-brand system and app | Huawei MAP0 + LUNA2000 + SmartGuard | Matched ecosystem |
| Three-phase, 12-20 kW, roof with several faces | Compare Solis S6-EH3P and Huawei MB0 | Check MPPT count and battery cost |
| Large home that may grow a lot | Either; check parallel and stack limits | Solis lists 6 units in parallel; LUNA2000 grows by modules |
On batteries, the voltage class decides more than the brand. A 48 V battery cannot go on a high-voltage hybrid, and LUNA2000 cannot go on a Solis. See high-voltage vs low-voltage batteries and our home battery comparison. We pair Solis hybrids with batteries from the brands we supply, only where Solis supports that battery; battery and inverter communication explains why that check matters.
On switchover, Solis publishes under 10 ms on the S6-EH1P. For Huawei, backup speed depends on the SmartGuard setup. Our guide to hybrid inverter transfer time explains what these figures mean during load-shedding. For size-by-size comparisons, see our 10 kW hybrid and 12-20 kW three-phase hybrid guides.
Factories and commercial roofs: almost level on paper
In the 100 kW class, the two flagship string inverters are close:
| Point | Solis S5-GC110K | Huawei SUN2000-115KTL-M2 |
|---|---|---|
| Rated AC power | 110 kW | 115 kW |
| MPPTs | 10 | 10 (20 string inputs) |
| Peak efficiency (published) | 98.7% | 98.8% |
| European weighted efficiency | 98.3% | 98.6% |
| Enclosure | IP66 | IP66 |
| String diagnosis | Smart I-V curve scanning | Smart I-V curve diagnosis |
| Arc-fault protection (AFCI) | Listed on the version we checked | Not listed on the version we checked |
| Data logging | RS485 standard; Wi-Fi, GPRS or PLC modules optional | SmartLogger or 4G dongle for internet; Bluetooth for commissioning |
A tenth of a percent of efficiency will not decide a factory project. What usually does:
- How the plant is split. The number and size of inverters, and how strings from different sheds map to MPPTs. Our guide to on-grid inverters for factories explains the trade-offs.
- Weighted efficiency over a real day, not the peak figure. See inverter efficiency ratings explained.
- Arc-fault protection. On large rooftop DC arrays, AFCI is a useful safety feature. Check the exact version quoted, since listings differ. See fire safety for rooftop solar.
- Export control across many inverters. Both brands sell a meter and controller for zero export or export limits. Confirm the controller handles the number of inverters on your site. See zero export devices.
- Storage plans. If battery storage is part of the project now or later, the inverter choice should fit it. Huawei sells C&I storage cabinets in its own ecosystem. For Solis sites, storage is designed around batteries we supply that the inverter supports. Our BESS for factories guide and Huawei vs Sungrow cover storage in depth.
Our industrial and commercial solar page explains how we design and build factory systems.
Monitoring
Both brands provide a phone app and a web portal: SolisCloud for Solis and FusionSolar for Huawei. Each shows generation, consumption, grid import and export, alarms and, on larger sites, string-level data. Huawei's strength is that inverter, battery and backup device all sit in one platform. Solis's platform is straightforward and covers its whole range from 3 kW homes to commercial units. Read how to use your solar monitoring app. We set up monitoring at handover where the equipment supports it.

For every brand and size, see solar inverter price in Pakistan and lithium battery price in Pakistan.
Warranty and genuine stock
Both brands' inverters carry a manufacturer's warranty per product. Match the model code on the quote to the nameplate, record serial numbers with your invoice and ask how the warranty is registered. On systems we install, our own engineers handle after-sales: we target sending service personnel within 48 hours of a registered complaint to begin diagnosis, and we give a 1-year service warranty under the applicable project terms and a 3-year structure warranty.
How Solar Works Pakistan chooses between them
We supply and install both brands and decide on engineering fit. For a home, we check your phase, the battery you want or already own, the loads you need on backup and your roof layout. For a factory, our in-house engineers design the inverter split, string layout, export control and any storage, then compare Solis and Huawei on the same design. Every quotation names the exact model, quantity and warranty. Solar Works Pakistan was founded in 2021, has served 300+ customers including 50+ industrial clients, and specialises in industrial EPC, hybrid systems and BESS, with projects from about 6 kW to megawatt scale. Frequently asked questions
Is Solis or Huawei better?
Neither is better in every case. Solis suits single-phase homes on 48 V batteries and buyers who want battery choice; Huawei suits three-phase homes and businesses that want one matched system with LUNA2000 and FusionSolar. For factories, their 100 kW-class inverters are very close on paper.
Can I use a 48 V battery with a Huawei inverter?
Not with Huawei's MAP0 and MB0 home hybrids, which take only high-voltage LUNA2000 batteries. If you want to use a 48 V battery, a Solis S6-EH1P single-phase hybrid is the relevant option.
Can I use a Huawei LUNA2000 battery with a Solis inverter?
No. LUNA2000 is designed for Huawei hybrids. Solis hybrids work with batteries on Solis's own compatibility list.
Does a Huawei home hybrid give backup during load-shedding?
Yes, when installed with a LUNA2000 battery and, on the three-phase home models, the SmartGuard backup device. Without SmartGuard, full three-phase backup is not available.
Which is better for a factory, Solis or Huawei?
Both make capable 100 kW-class string inverters with 10 MPPTs, IP66 enclosures and about 98.7-98.8% peak efficiency. The choice usually depends on plant design, AFCI on the exact version, export control, storage plans and price.
Which monitoring app is better, SolisCloud or FusionSolar?
Both show generation, use, grid flow and alarms. FusionSolar brings Huawei's inverter, battery and backup device into one platform; SolisCloud covers the whole Solis range. Either is easy once set up.
Can I run two Solis or Huawei inverters together?
Solis lists up to six S6-EH1P units in parallel. Huawei systems grow by adding inverters and LUNA2000 modules within its own rules. We confirm limits for the exact models at design stage.
