Why being close to the head office matters
Jaranwala lies about 35 km south-east of Faisalabad, and Samundri about 45 km away. For a customer, that distance changes three practical things:
- Survey and design move quickly. An engineer can visit the same week you send your bills, and the design is done in-house at the head office.
- Lower travel cost on the quote. Transport is still a line item, but it is small compared with a project in south Punjab.
- After-sales is close by. Once a complaint is registered, we target sending service personnel within 48 hours to begin diagnosis. The final fix depends on the fault and spare parts, but short travel helps. Our after-sales service guide explains how it works.

The loads we see in Jaranwala, Samundri and Tandlianwala
The two tehsils are farm-market towns with real industry around them. Jaranwala tehsil is the largest in Faisalabad district by area and includes the Khurrianwala industrial area, with sugar, maize processing, chemicals and textile mills nearby. Its grain market is one of the busiest in Punjab. Samundri has a large grain, corn and sugar market, with sugarcane and wheat as the main crops, and a well-known truck-body and painting trade.
Mills and processing units
Sugar, maize, flour and rice processing share a pattern: large motors, long running hours during the crop season, and quieter months in between. A plant sized for the busiest weeks can sit half-idle for the rest of the year, and under net billing exported units earn far less than imported ones cost. We size to the load that runs most of the year, then look at phased expansion or storage for the peaks. Mandi shops, arhti offices and cold rooms
Grain and vegetable markets mean rows of shops and offices with fans, lights, computers and, in summer, ACs, mostly used in daylight. Commission agents and traders with produce stores also ask about cold rooms. Refrigeration runs through the night, so it needs either a battery or a grid-and-solar design that accepts night imports; see solar for cold storage.
Workshops and body shops
Truck-body, paint and fabrication workshops run compressors, welding sets, grinders and spray-booth fans. Welding and compressor starts are short, high surges, so inverter sizing and protection matter more than total kW. Most of these shops have tin or metal sheet roofs; read solar on tin and metal sheet roofs for fixing and leak points. Farmhouses, dairy and tubewells

FESCO rules for Jaranwala and Samundri
Both tehsils are part of Faisalabad district, which FESCO serves. NEPRA's national rules apply, as summarised in our net metering and net billing guide:

The transformer rule matters on the edges of town and in the villages, where a single small transformer may feed a whole street or chak. If neighbours have already added solar, ask early.
Many town houses here are single-phase with a modest sanctioned load. To export, you usually need a three-phase connection first (single-phase to three-phase) and, if your load is low, a higher sanctioned load (how to increase it). A self-use hybrid system works without either.

Can a sugar-belt mill or processing unit run on solar?
Solar can carry a large share of the daytime load alongside the grid, a generator or battery storage. Seasonal running, motor starts and night loads all need careful sizing, so we design each plant from its own load data.
My workshop has a welding set and compressor. Will solar handle it?
Usually yes, with the inverter and protection sized for the starting surge, not just the running load. Running heavy jobs in sunny hours helps most.
Can I still get net metering?
Not as a new applicant. Applications from 9 February 2026 come under net billing, where exports earn less than imports cost. Existing agreements keep their terms until they expire.
What is the smallest system you install?
