Transport and team travel to Multan are listed separately in the quotation, not buried in equipment prices. Our projects start at about 6 kW. Long, hot summers mean air-conditioning drives most Multan bills, so the right size depends on how many ACs you run and when. See solar for AC, the solar system price guide, inverter prices, lithium battery prices and the solar calculator.
Designing solar for Multan heat
Multan has some of the hottest summers in Punjab. Strong sun is good for generation, but heat itself reduces panel output: as cell temperature rises, voltage and power fall. On a very hot afternoon, panels on a tightly packed, poorly ventilated roof can produce noticeably less than their rated wattage.
What helps:
- Panel technology. N-type panels generally lose less output per degree of heat than older P-type panels. Compare the temperature coefficient on each datasheet. Our N-type vs P-type guide explains the difference.
- Airflow under the panels. A gap between panel and roof lets heat escape. Elevated structures improve ventilation and make use of the space below. See L2, L3 and elevated structures.
- Inverter placement. Inverters derate when they get too hot. Mount them in shade with clear space around them, never in direct afternoon sun or a closed metal box.
- Cable sizing. Hot cables carry current less efficiently. Cables should be sized for the temperature they will actually see on a Multan roof.
- Dust. Dust storms before the monsoon coat panels quickly. Check them often and clean safely; see our solar panel cleaning guide.
Our guide to solar panels in Punjab summer heat covers temperature effects in more detail.
MEPCO and net billing in Multan
MEPCO is the distribution company (DISCO) for Multan and much of South Punjab. It applies NEPRA's national rules. From our net metering and net billing guide:
- Net metering closed to new applicants on 9 February 2026. New solar connections come under net billing. Imports are billed at your normal tariff; exports are credited at the national average energy purchase price, reported at about Rs 10-11 per unit when the rules were notified.
- Existing agreements keep their terms until they expire. Changing system capacity can move you to net billing.
- Size limit. Solar capacity cannot exceed your sanctioned load.
- Three-phase. Net billing is available to three-phase 400 V or 11 kV consumers.
- Approval. Systems up to 25 kW are approved by the DISCO, with no NEPRA licence fee. Larger systems pay a one-time Rs 1,000 per kW to NEPRA.
- Transformer limit. New applications are refused once connected solar on a transformer reaches 80% of its rating.
Multan's long, sunny days give plenty of midday output, but under net billing exported units earn far less than imported units cost. Running ACs and pumps from solar during the day, and adding a battery for evening cooling where it makes sense, keeps more of your solar in self-use. Our green meter and net billing application guide lists the documents and step timelines.
How we serve Multan
Our offices are in Faisalabad (head office) and Lahore. For Multan customers:
- Send your bills on WhatsApp. Twelve months of bills, roof photos and the loads you want to run.
- Remote first review. Our engineers check your units, sanctioned load and connection type, and give an indicative size.
- Site survey. Normally free. We check roof condition, shading, structure options and cable routes.
- In-house design and detailed BOQ, listing brand, model, quantity and warranty for each item.
- Installation by our own team, then testing, safe commissioning and handover, including the monitoring app.
After a complaint is registered, we target sending service personnel within 48 hours to begin diagnosis. Distance and spare parts can affect the time to a final fix. Small projects are normally completed in about one week, subject to payment, equipment availability and site readiness.

Frequently asked questions
What is the solar panel price in Multan today?
Mainstream N-type panels are WhatsApp for today's rate per watt today, about WhatsApp for today's rate for a 615 W panel. Prices change with the dollar rate and stock, so WhatsApp 0336 666 4321 for today's rate.
Do you have an office in Multan?
No. Our offices are in Faisalabad and Lahore. We serve Multan from our Punjab teams, starting with a WhatsApp review of your bills and then a site survey.
Does Multan's heat reduce solar output?
Yes. Panels lose some output as they get hotter, so a panel on a very hot day produces less than its rated wattage. N-type panels, good airflow under the panels and a shaded inverter location reduce the loss.
Which panels are better for Multan's climate?
Look at the temperature coefficient on the datasheet: a smaller loss per degree is better in heat. N-type panels generally perform better here than older P-type panels. We recommend specific models after the survey.
Can I still get net metering from MEPCO?
New applicants come under net billing since 9 February 2026, where exports are credited at a lower rate than imports cost. Existing agreements keep their terms until they expire.
Can solar run my ACs in a Multan summer?
Yes, by day, if the system is sized for your AC load. For evening cooling you need the grid or a battery. Send your bills and AC details and we will size it.
